Kashokhin Series

“When it comes to killing and bloodshed”

"Exciting And Well-made"

“Kashokhin” is one of the most exotic series I have seen lately and it can be considered an Iranian neo-western. It is shot with very elaborate shots and with great artistic ambition.

'Bog' an Involving, Iranian-made

Admittedly, from an American perspective this is not the kind of film that one expects to see coming out of Iran. Bog is an intelligent, involving film and Mohseni's lensing especially capturing the sense of action and anxiety that one would hope for in such a film.

The story revolves around the character of Mohammad, one of the few core members who are involved in this wide monetary fraud. The setting of the story is a wedding ceremony which is on the verge of disruption because the bad news is going to explode any moment. Mohammad senses the danger and tries to salvage some of the cash he is still hiding. In Persian, BOG is an acronym for the equivalent words for “The Economic Crisis of Gerash”.
